Input Channels

Introduction

An input channel in SAC is analogous to an input channel on either an analog or digital console. Like many digital consoles, the input channel in SAC is a virtual concept allowing you to route physical or virtual sources to the input channel. Input channels internally operate as stereo channels despite the input source selection. Mono sources are doubled to the internal left and right signal paths.

An input channel is made up of the following components:

Signal processing flows from the Input section down through channel output points in the order above. For greater versatility, SAC allows this signal flow to be modified on a per-channel basis in two ways. You may insert the Fx Patch Points prior to the EQ/Dynamics section and also move the Dynamics section prior to the EQ.
